Hi! I’m in the PNW and have a 24’ x 50’ backyard that’s on a 15* slope angling down and away from the house. It’s mostly in the shade, and currently under attack by blackberry vines. Anyone have thoughts for good plants to stabilize the sandy soil and make local critters happy? Thanks!

One good way to stabilize soil is to see what species are endemic to your area and then seeing what some of their traits are like how some people will combine multiple crops to have a more stable system the same can be done with a garden bonus if it’s native species as well

Hi! From Washington - your local nursery may have soil recommendations best for what’s native to the area, as well as how to tackle those blackberry vines
