Any advice on what I should do to help my hydrangea?! Probably should’ve done more research before choosing this plant but I do love these and know they thrive in Connecticut. HELP!

Overall it doesn’t look too bad too me except it seems to have lost a lot of its leaves. Is that the issue you’re having? So many things can cause that. I know with one of my hydrangeas the problem was the drain hole in the planter was blocked and the soil was staying too wet. Hydrangeas need regular water but hate sitting in too wet soil

I know it’s not that, I was having trouble with two of my other flowers and had to repot them because too much moister was staying in the soil, I’ve tried moving it to an area where it only got 1/2 sun in comparison during the day but it seemed to whither worse over there compared to where I had it before exposed to about 3/4 of the sun during the day. added some compost I made below the first layer of soil and moved it back to the spot where it was doing well before, but from what I can tell it is the leaves thinning and blooms whilting. I think it may be a big problem so I’m gonna see what I can find online that may help with that. :/
