How do you harvest basil?

With a clean pair of scissors, snip a stem with the leaves that you want right above a leaf node (where there are other leaves growing out of). This will encourage new growth to grow back where you made your cut

Plant Fatherif you routinely chop the tops of your basil, it’ll grow back even bushier because you are turning one growth point into multiple! this is why i never bother plucking individual leaves, just pinch off the top.
