Iâve tried (late) a few different things to get these critters away from my pumpkins. Does anyone have any tricks?

Nothing short of pesticides, itâs very hard to treat outdoors cus well itâs outdoors. Iâd see if you can order any native predatory insects or something thatâs a predator.

Great suggestion! I havenât done that yet this year. Youâre right about outdoors, so hard because you donât want to kill anything else and I personally do not want any chemicals in my harvest đ Iâll look up predator insects for them.

Just make sure they are native and non invasive if thereâs enough prey around they will stay close by, Iâve even seen some people use chickens for the larger insects which is a bonus cus free food and free fertilizer. But in your case Iâd recommend a predator prey situation.

Look up âcompanion plantingâ on google. Plant other things around them that will either attract or repel certain bugs.

I did plant some buddies to help deter but it didnât work with these buggers. This is one of my favorite methods. Thank you for your suggestion my friend đ„°
