I’ve tried (late) a few different things to get these critters away from my pumpkins. Does anyone have any tricks?

Nothing short of pesticides, it’s very hard to treat outdoors cus well it’s outdoors. I’d see if you can order any native predatory insects or something that’s a predator.

Great suggestion! I haven’t done that yet this year. You’re right about outdoors, so hard because you don’t want to kill anything else and I personally do not want any chemicals in my harvest 😊 I’ll look up predator insects for them.

Just make sure they are native and non invasive if there’s enough prey around they will stay close by, I’ve even seen some people use chickens for the larger insects which is a bonus cus free food and free fertilizer. But in your case I’d recommend a predator prey situation.

Look up “companion planting” on google. Plant other things around them that will either attract or repel certain bugs.

I did plant some buddies to help deter but it didn’t work with these buggers. This is one of my favorite methods. Thank you for your suggestion my friend 🥰
