Hello! I am going away in a few days and need some suggestions for watering the plants. Unfortunately we don’t have anyone who could water them and was wondering if there was any alternatives? We’re looking into maybe using a sports drink bottle to drip water into the plants? Or maybe the string method? We’re away for 3 weeks and really need suggestions! We have tomato’s, some potato’s, peas and peppers- we also have strawberries.
I would do a soak on like the tomatoes and plants that love water like that, then we’ve got stakes with wine bottles in them as it gets soo hot out and we both work 8-5:30
I left last year and went on a 3 week vacation and got home to a thriving garden. The bottle tricks are great but not for long term. I have a 60$ wifi water timer that I can start anywhere anytime I have cell phone reception. Just run the hose along the sides of your plants. This will keep them safe for 3 weeks.
