i just noticed these in my backyard! at first i thought they were weeds, but i took a look closer and noticed a lot of variegation on them. plus, pink leaves! does anybody know what this is? would i be able to take some cuttings of it into propagating/new pots? or am i just excited and they really are just weeds LOL

    Chameleon! They are pretty and you can definitely propagate them by cutting. If you want to make quicker work of it, find the base of a healthy (but short) vine and firmly/gently pull it out of the ground making sure to get some roots then pot them up. Use a good potting soil. Soil needs consistent moisture 👍🏼

      Same mother plant, different growth habit due to location. I think it’d be fun to experiment and see what it can do for you.

    I just want to mention that they will spread like wildfire. If you want to keep it in your yard you should try to keep it contained. I had some years ago but unfortunately were entangled with Virginia creeper and poison ivy so everything got trashed. In the photos, these are som periwinkle that showed up in my yard last year. This is how I contain them.
