Any advice for an olive tree in a pot on a balcony? Starting to think about my winter plan - I’m in Nashville and it should be ok outside in my zone down to 23 degrees according to Planta. But I’m debating either moving it to a protected corner outside on the balcony and wrapping the base with blankets on cold nights, or bringing in for December and January (I don’t want to overwinter). Has anyone ever used one of those disposable shipping heating pads wrapped in a blanket around the pot on a cold night? PS I bought this online because I had a gift card and couldn’t believe how well they packed it to ship!!!

Those disposable heat packs might add up to expensive using one every night in the winter. Try buying a plug-in seed start heating pad on amazon $15 (assuming you have some way of pulling an extension cord outside or have an outlet out there… or a light bulb socket into outlet). Then wrap a blanket around full tree & leaves at night. If its still freezing in day, could create a make shift greenhouse with a plastic tent. Or buy a pre-fab clear plastic greenhouse tent for it.
