I’m having the hardest time getting spinach to sprout from seeds. Any tips? I’ve seen people recommend soaking the seeds for a week and keeping the soil consistently wet

    It could be that spinach is a colder weather crop and it’s peaking to summer. Even if it did sprout you wouldn’t have the best outcome at all. I did this last year I planted in late spring and they sprouted but didn’t get very big at all and died very quickly due to the heat. (And I had them planted in a shady area)

      Hmm okay. Does this apply even inside? That’s where I was trying to sprout them

      Honestly I’m not sure. All the research I had did said they don’t like to be transplanted and I was planting outside so I just put the seed straight into the ground. I didn’t try to get them to sprout. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!

      Try moving the containers outside maybe it’s just too warm in the house

    I always had difficulty planting them inside I had to find the coolest room but when I sprinkled seeds in a container outside they did beautifully even in May I planted in a green stalk vertical planter and kept reseeding every 4-6weeks that same container after harvesting Try seeding outside mid march to mid June Then start again in mid September or early September (when heat waves are done) to October
