So when my tomato plants were wee babes and only about 1 foot tall they shared a pot (I procrastinated repotting, I know). And one day we had horrible storms and they got knocked over. I’m assuming they had been on their side for pretty much my entire 8 hours of work, one of the plants was snapped almost completely in half & the other just started bending instead of staying straight. So I leaned them up against my bench while I waiting for my mom to prepare the big boy pot she was giving me for them. The snapped one was still green and perky even though it couldn’t stand on its own so I left it to see what would happen 🤷🏻‍♀️ About a week later I finally repot them and tied them to their own rods. I didn’t have much hope for Snappy because the site where she broke was pretty gnarly looking even though other than that she looked great. Other tomato was flowering at this point and even had a baby one. Another week after being repotted and Snappy blew my mind, she started flowering!! Still no tomatoes even though her sister has 3.5, but honestly I’m just surprised she’s even still alive and flowering now. So anyway, today Planta told me to pinch the little spurs in between branches and while doing so I noticed some little bumps on Snappy’s stem. In another post I saw that these were a good thing possibly but I recall it being a completely different plant. Whatever these are, are they okay? Also including a picture of Snappy’s snap site, it’s looking less zombie-like and more dry scab-like. (Don’t mind her dirty stem, it’s been raining A LOT the last few days and her soil splashed back at her).
