Suggestions for what to plant in my tiered herb planter box with rosemary? I have mint, thyme, oregano, and basil already.

    sage, chives, dill, mint, tarragon, lavender, fennel, marjoram, cilantro, lemon verbena, etc. there’s so many options. it depends on which herbs you like to use in cooking or baking, or for medicinal purposes. it may be a good idea to research common herbs in your favorite cuisine. we eat a lot of italian and greek food here so our herb garden has sage, rosemary, basil, dill, marjoram, chives, and oregano, as well as some other european herbs like tarragon, lavender, and mint. if you’re not in mint’s native range make sure to keep it contained in a pot— mint is prolific and will take over an area with its runners.

      do any do well as companion plants to rosemary and water need wise? Also, yes my mint is in a raised pot!!

      we have sage, parsley, and lavender in the same area as rosemary, as well as a yarrow bush that thrives there. any plants that prefer well-draining soil and periods of drought like rosemary will do well planted nearby. i figured based on your post your mint was above the ground but thought i’d offer the warning anyway as i’ve seen the plant’s runners clamber out of a pot in an attempt to root itself elsewhere. frequent pruning may be necessary to keep it contained
