Just got this beaut on sale. Got it home and found out is was drowning and suffocating in a misshapen nursery pot. I repotted in leca, and so far so good. I did loose some blooms (as expected) but only 1 bud has died so far. The rest are blooming beautifully. Who woulda thunk that an orchid would love leca so much!
Hi everyone! I picked up this Autograph Tree (Clusia rosea) from Lowe’s about a week ago. Today, I removed the sponge it was growing in and found what looks like root rot. How much of the damaged roots should I cut off, and what’s the best way to treat this? I’m new to semi-hydroponics, so any advice on recovery and future care would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Has anyone had luck with fittonias in hydro? Last time I tried to transplant it, it died. Their roots are so sensitive

Not sure if anyone has started an African Violet in semi-hydroponics but so far I have had good luck. I will keep everyone updated and if anyone has any suggestions on upkeep that would be great

Hi guys!! I really want to get into propagating and hydroponics, and i started with my pothos plant. I put a snippet of her in water a month 2 months ago but she hasn’t sprouted roots yet. Do I still leave her or do I need to add something to the water? Is it normal for them to take a long time? and can I keep her in water? Thanks for any help/advice!!

advice for moving plants from leca [to assist in growth] to soil?
Here’s my lucky bamboo that’s been in pebbles and sink water for 3-4 years. Never actually changed the water. I just add more when it gets low. A piece of it actually snapped off during a move and I threw it right back into the water. It lives!
Hello, first day in here. I am wanting some advise on how to care for my adasons monstera plant My friend gave me a clipping maybe a yr ago I’ve kept it in a glass jar of water the whole time It grows new leaves sometimes but has browning edges of the leaves when they age. I keep it about 2 ft from a window that gets partial sun most of the day We keep the house at 67 degrees on the 4th floor of an apartment Any advice to help my baby grow big and healthy would be appreciated!!
My microgreens grow tall in water but not sturdy .
Anyone know how to propigate this? Its bamboo, i asked a lady for some and the just broke me off a piece? Idk how to care for it... it has like 12 node like thingys... idk what to do or how to xare for it... any tips would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I have a Moses in the cradle plant that unfortunately was infested with thrips. It had slowly started going down hill and I wasn’t sure why but when I checked the plant I found the pests. I decided to cut off all the dead parts and repot. But when I got to what healthy roots were remaining, I had only small pieces of plant left. I was going to repot these parts of the plant with their healthy roots into a smaller pot and new soil. But I’m in NJ and the weather is getting cooler and I’ve heard that plants go dormant during winter. Would it be best to put these pieces in leca for the winter instead of soil if I don’t expect much growing?
