   I have switched 5 Alocasias over to leca a couple months ago. So far they are doing better than in soil. I’m hoping to switch over a couple begonias this week also. I see you are using clear glass containers. I gave up on those because algae would develop in a few days. I’m now using pots that are opaque rather than clear.

     I'm doing cheap $1 glasses for the initial set up and treating it like a propagation as they gain water roots and I will flush out the water often. I did move a couple of earlier ones into a wick set up and out of the glasses. I know you suggested another planter type because of algae. So, I do have those on my list to checkout when these make a healthy transition into a hydro set-up.
