Hello! I just moved a pothos into leca. This is my first time having a plant in leca so if anyone has any tips or things they learned the hard way I’d greatly appreciate any wisdom 😊 also what do yall use for your nutrient solution?

    Hopefully you removed as much soil as possible. My research has always recommended not having current roots in the water. So when you pot it in leca, add a bottom layer first then your plant. Water should only cover the bottom layer of leca in the pot. For nutrients, I use Superthrive Foliage Pro. I am still learning. Still fairly new. I currently have about 8 plants in leca. Mostly Alocasias, a Schismatoglottis wallichii, a domino peacevlily, party time, and a white fusion calathea. They are all doing well except party time. I have a problem finding good pots for leca. I have a shipment of pots coming from Wavyleaf in Canada. Taking for ever to get here because of the new damn tariff regulations.

      I find that’s my problem as well I’m struggling to find pots to use

      Wavyleaf has the perfect planters for leca. I’m expecting 9 planters from them on Wednesday. Not Amazon. Need to use their website. I have the ones in the pick in small and large. Be careful only the diamond cut design will work for leca. Because they were getting algae so bad a I painted them with a small strip opening to see the water level. I used a glossy white spray paint and they came out looking good.
