I am about to try my luck with leca clay balls. I’ve had pothos in water before and propagations with a lot of success. My question is what do you suggest I try in leca first?

    Honestly, if you already have some water props, pothos! I have a few in LECA and they seem to do really well. Other plants I've had do really well in LECA are aglaonema (Chinese evergreen), alocasia, and ficus sagitatta.

    I’ve never used leca, but my alocasias love pon and I’ve heard they also do well in leca!

    I use Wavyleaf planters for semi hydro. Currently doing very well are Epipremnim Manjula and Snow Queen; Begonia Rex; two Philodendron Birkins; Calathea Stromathe Triostar and Orbifolia; Syngonium, and a Purple Passion. My Alocasias are just surviving and not thriving in semi hydro. And I’m having very good results with Growth Technology Foliage Focus.

    All my plants are in semi-hydro! For Leca I recommend plants with chunkier roots - pothos would be a perfect plant to start with!
