Im new to pon and i kind of dove head first transplanting some of my most prized plants into cause this hobby is all about experimenting…. Well now I’m seeing some fuzzy stuff forming on the top soil and i never hear anyone talk about this in all the videos i have watched.. is this normal, should i perform emergency repots 😂 i bought the lechuza pon amazon sells This is about 1.5 weeks after potting into pon Thanks in advance!
Kill it!!!!! I had this with 2 pots of pon, not sure why exactly since the first portion was fine. And was only on 2 of the 4 I repotted. But it killed one of them. Rotted it at the corm. I treated the other woth the 1:3 peroxide every few days for two weeks. Now I sterilize the pon before I use it.

0 likes Yea, this was just the 2 in pon. Everything else was fine
0 likes I had just repotted like 90 plants, so I had zero energy to repot. So I removed the top layer and sprayed the rest down. A repot wouldn't be amiss I dint think. And spray the plant down with the 1 part peroxide 3 parts water to make sure whatever it was dies, and doesn't carry over to the new media

I recommend spraying with hydrogen peroxide like the other people are recommending. I think most my pon has done this at some point and it stops eventually with the hydrogen peroxide spraying. I use this one from Amazon.
You need more air flow. I had this problem and now I have a de humidifier and it’s completely gone
0 likesI mostly plant in LECA, and when I’ve seen this before, it’s been mineral build up at the top of the medium. However, if you’re still worried about it and think it might be mold, I’d spray it with hydrogen peroxide. It can be kind of hard to tell which it is sometimes.
