I have a Moses in the cradle plant that unfortunately was infested with thrips. It had slowly started going down hill and I wasn’t sure why but when I checked the plant I found the pests. I decided to cut off all the dead parts and repot. But when I got to what healthy roots were remaining, I had only small pieces of plant left. I was going to repot these parts of the plant with their healthy roots into a smaller pot and new soil. But I’m in NJ and the weather is getting cooler and I’ve heard that plants go dormant during winter. Would it be best to put these pieces in leca for the winter instead of soil if I don’t expect much growing?
