I’ve had these for over a year and they are getting bigger. Does anyone have monsteras in larger vases that do well? I’m thinking of combing and adding a pole for support? Thoughts….ideas

    Combine ing would’ve be fine if you choose to or not. I think it would look more full if you did but your choice. (Also make sure all the leaves are facing the same direction) I honk a pole would be so great, it would allow for more growth upwards and larger leaves. Also maybe try switching out the leca, I try to switch mine out twice a year. Also make sure if you fertilize every month because leca doesn’t provide very much nutrients.

      So you think just leave in water alone no leca? Noted on the rest thanks 🫶🏼

      I think the leca is good for the plant and gives the roots something to attach to. Just change out the leca now and twice every year.

    Hi there, 2 plants in one will get very big. I find also that a closed container LECA system like this becomes very hard to flush as the plants mature and get much bigger. This becomes an extra challenge when you’ve got a pole or another support in there. I have my monsteras with a pole sitting in a plastic inner pot with lots of holes in it, which then sits in an outer cache pot that holds the nutrient solution. Way easier to flush because nothing needs to be turned upside down awkwardly with the inevitable LECA avalanche. Instead I just take the inner pot out, place it in the bath tub or shower and turn the water on. Super easy. Best of luck!
