When you root a plant in moss, do they grow soil roots or water roots? In particular for an Alocasia. I want to transfer from moss (now that it developed a strong root system again) to pon; Is that usually an easy transition? I have great success going from soil to pon but have never transferred from moss...
I follow someone on YouTube ( forgot who , but will try to get the name) and she planted alocasia in sphagnum moss on top of pon so not to shock the plant. ( I also saw “ Sydney plant guy” on YouTube do this with LECA at the bottom in place of pon. )As it grows into the pon she will then remove the moss and add more pon. I am trying that with an alocasia as well. In all the videos I have seen you lose most leaves but they come back bigger and fuller.
