Has anyone ever grown this plant in leca? I bought it from Walmart and it says to water it with ice, but the app tells me to water it completely differently from the tag instructions. it’s a root bound plant but I’m afraid of root rot because I can never keep orchids alive due to root rot.
So I have killed two of these trying to transition to pon. I read they can thrive in water, so I tried that… the new growth would just rot away 🤦♀️ so I finally gave up on them. I just purchased a new one and it’s in the same set up (water with ice) but I don’t I just water it until it drips out the bottom. So far so good , I think I’ll repot soon but just use soil… I’m not going to try semi hydro for this plant anymore. I have 2 big orchids and 2 small.. the 2 small are thriving in pon… one of the big ones needs repotted so I’m going to use bark, the other one is slowly dying in pon
