Hello! Newbie here; I have a type of snake plant that I’m trying to propagate in water. It’s been sitting there for at least 2-3 weeks and I see no signs of nothing. I’m using distilled water. Is there something additional I could be doing? Thank you in advance.
1. It will take forever to root 2. I would put it in less water. Maybe just an inch or inch and a half of water.

I also find that they take the longest to root in water. You could try some cactus, palm and succulent soil, and just mist the top of the soil every few days to keep it somewhat moist (not damp). Or you could try perlite, mist the top of that maybe once or twice a week. Those have given me the best/fastest results with rooting snake plant cuttings.
