Me again, i’ve been watching a lot of leca videos but still unsure whats the deal with it, i decided to boil it to make sure its sanitized since it came with a hole in the bag , how do you prep them? and honestly whats your tried and tested way of using them & when do you use them? Or is there someone in youtube that hit the nail on the head on tutorials? Are these the right kind? Any advice is gladly appreciated! 🙏🏼
I love Leca Queen’s YT videos! I think I even say LECA with an Australian accent now 🤣. Her long method is what helped me to successfully transfer most of my plants, even though I don’t have the same products that she uses. Just note that every plant has different watering needs, and you need to be mindful of that, even with LECA. Watering method may change based on type of plant (reservoir vs. Shower method), and some plants will need airflow (definitely my snake plants), while other plants may not care so much (my alocasias). So it’s best if you can find YouTube videos about the exact type of plant you’re trying to transfer. I do not recommend watching videos/reels on tik tok/instagram about LECA transfer because I find they really oversimplify things and hardly ever post follow ups on how their plants are doing post-transfer 🙄. I hardly ever use a 1/3 reservoir that so many videos mention. Mine are more like 1/4 or 1/5.
