Hi guys!! I really want to get into propagating and hydroponics, and i started with my pothos plant. I put a snippet of her in water a month 2 months ago but she hasn’t sprouted roots yet. Do I still leave her or do I need to add something to the water? Is it normal for them to take a long time? and can I keep her in water? Thanks for any help/advice!!
Pothos cuttings can take forever to grow roots. As long as the leaf looks and feels healthy, all you need to do is top up the water as needed :)

They can definitely take a long time. I've found that bright light and being with other propagation help mine. Sounds weird but 🤷

As long as there is a node it should grow roots. It may need more light or a touch of rooting hormone or fertilizer

Yeah I'd leave it! Healthy leaves let it be... I have propped probably too many of them, I shamefully have way too many just... Living in water... have

empty jelly jars and shot glasses have only one purpose in my home: pothos propagation. Ive had success without root hormone, but with it roots grow twice as fast. I change the water frequently, but only after roots start showing ( until then just add back whats evaporated).

I got tired of waiting for roots and put it in Leca and now it has a great root system. I don’t know. I just kept the water levels a little higher so it would have water just underneath it to root.
