2 weeks ago I posted about my Calathea Warscewiczzi. It was pretty sad and had shrivelled browning on around the edges of most of the leaves.
Since then I’ve stopped misting it (luckily it’s summer in London so the spot it’s in is currently 70% humidity). I also moved it to a terracotta pot.
I’m not sure which of these was the game changer - maybe both together - but it now has three new leaves coming through. Sharing in case anyone else has the same issues 👍🏽

Some questions about my monstera adon
I think I may have had it in too direct of sun a few weeks ago and it got crispy brown edges. It has since grown new leaves. Should I leave the browned leaves or cut them (at the base?)?
It doesn’t hold water when I do water and feed it. Is that a sign that it needs repotting?
I wondering if it needs something to climb up?

Today, I repotted my two Grape Ivy plants! I don’t see anyone posting about these lovely plants, so wanted to do a post.
Neither a grape or an ivy, they’re great houseplants. Pretty easy to care for: a bit of light, watering when dry and they really enjoy being misted. I highly recommend them as hanging plants or for desks - they are not high maintenance, I find.
I got the larger one in April - at that point it was the size of the smaller one. And I got the smaller one in June. See attached pics to see the growth. Meanwhile my anthuriums are sulkily pushing out a leaf at a time.
So, if you want a pretty easy care plant that will sprout new leaves weekly: grape ivy!

Hey so a couple weeks ago one of my plants died 😭 and I now have a super cute empty pot. I would love to fill it but I would like suggestions on what I should get! (Pls only leafy green plants. Not a good succulent parent…)

I only repotted one month ago but my thai con monstera still surprised me today with several new roots growing out of the bottom! I know they like to be root bound but this seems like a lot and I’m concerned the roots could get damaged (I already broke one on accident setting the pot back down). Is it already time to repot?

It’s time to repot my ZZ. It has some super long roots sticking out the bottom of the pot. Is it OK to cut those or will that stress the plant?

I got this pink princess about two months ago and some of her leaves are looking like this. I have only bottom watered twice and must about once a week. I thought maybe she wasn’t getting enough light so I added a plant light to her stand. Any thoughts as to what I’m doing wrong here?

I have this pink polka dot plant which was thriving with so much of new growth. It is also blooming right now. But since few days I am seeing the larger leaves turning yellow (I had pruned a few of them yesterday). Can someone tell me if this is a major issue as I feel the plant looks sad than before. I read somewhere that this plant needs to be pruned from top to encourage bushier growth which I was unaware of. I am planning to do that soon but are there any other suggestions to improve its health ?
P.S the plant needs water every 3-4 days else its leaves start drooping.

Why do my lemon lime corn plant leaves keep dying? Could it be root rot? He keeps putting out new growth but dying as fast as he’s growing! I have been cutting off the brown leaves. Is that a good idea? Pls help!

My sister got it for me. The plant shop wrote that it’s a Rhipsalis. Planta says that it’s a Jasmine (it… is not).
I think it may be a lipstick plant? I have another, the Twister, so have been treating this one the same and it’s been thriving. But would be good to know what others think! Please, and thank you 💚

My Calathea Warscewiczii has started seriously curling and browning at the edges. I’ve had it for 3 months and it was looking amazing.
I then went away for a few days and left my husband in charge. I’m not sure what happened - he carried on with my regime - but it’s been downhill since then. This was two weeks ago.
Any ideas?! I have Alocasias and Anthuriums which have done well so I thought the Calathea would be OK but… argh.
So far, I’ve cautiously trimmed the worst brown bits, and realised that while I’ve been watering with distilled water, I’ve been misting with filtered water! I think this may be the issue. I also think that misting is a bit much for it and have bought a new humidifier for it. Its spot averages around 50-60% humidity so I may have been too enthusiastic with misting.
I also wonder if I’ve been under watering slightly - I’m a historic over-waterer but may have been slightly too stingy.
Has anyone had this, and successfully diagnosed and fixed the issue?
