my striped calathea is not doing well at all, have been super busy lately and neglected my plants - what is going on with her? she seems almost like infected with something

    Uh oh! It looks like spider mites. I don’t have any good suggestions but hopefully someone else more knowledgeable has some good advice. Wishing you good luck!

    Definitely spider mites, remove any dead leaves, place in the shower and spray it down with cool water, then use an insecticide (I like this neem oil mixture) after treatment wipe away any remaining spider mite residue/webs and repeat the process in a week to make sure any eggs that hatch are killed off too. And check all your other plants they can spread.

      Id quarantine this one too they can wreak havoc and spread quickly. I bought a new plant and brought them home 😣 Now I treat all new plants with this method right when I get them

    Spider mites are not a huge problem if you have arachnophobia they aren’t real spiders. Just rinse them with lukewarm water in the shower and to go extra wipe down with alcohol wipes. Works everytime
