Cece’s plants

If anyone can please help me it will mean the world to me. My poor little baby is acting all kinds of crazy. I don’t know if you can tell in the photo but the top part is light yellow, the middle is black and really soft and the bottom is turning black it lost the only little leaf it had. It looks like root rot to me but it’s not over watered. Can anyone please help?!?!

My guess is root rot from the pot being way too large. The only way to know for sure is to take it out of the pot and break up the soil to find the roots. If there's a white or beige one, even just the one healthy root, no matter how tiny, there's a chance!

Its sad is what it is! Take it out of that pot and put it in water to propagate. This is worse than fiddle leaf figs “pet stick.”

I checked your plants to see this is a polka dot begonia in a self watering. The pot is too big for the current size plant. It should be in a starter pot 3 inches or 4 inches diameter to not soak the roots too long. I recommend not keeping water full time in the reservoir of the pot to prevent root rot. I avoid self watering pots because most of my plants can’t survive long in soggy soil. 🪴🍀
