Hey, my room is pretty dark, and I’m looking for plants that like shade. Anyone know of any plants that prefer shade! Any help would be appreciated thanks!!

    Philodendrons, Zz’s, chinese evergreens, peace lilies, those are some off the top of my head.

    Every plant needs light. A dark room will slowly kill off a plant. Shade loving plants use and need light. Light coming into a north facing window is considered shaded levels of light. My plants have to be on the windowsill to grow reasonably well in my north facing kitchen windows. Everything else in the kitchen has grow lights or light bulbs. You can determine the quantity of light you get in your ‘pretty dark’ room with a light meter or light meter app. Then, search google for plants that can live in that light level starting with the above recommendations from Addie and Itunu.🍀🪴

    Philos can tolerate low light but they will size up really well in bright light
