This is Samantha. I got her last Wednesday and she looks happy(?) I think! I cleaned her leaves yesterday and watered her for the first time tonight. She likes to show off the red underside of her leaves. 💃🏻 This is my first triostar and I’m in love! Any tips or advice on how to make her happy would be very much appreciated from both of us. 💖
These guys are hardier than some on the internet would have you believe. That said, it won’t want to dry out completely (maybe water when it feels like it’s lighter throughout but not all the way dry, if that makes sense) and keep relatively close to a window. I’d say the humidity floor is maybe 40% but it’ll do better if you can keep at least 50-60%. Your conditions will determine if these things are even worth considering so totally disregard if it’s doing well, but if it has a turn for the worse consider using water conditioner or even a shift to semi-hydro

2 likes Thank you!! I definitely don’t want to overwater her. She’s about 2 feet away from a big south-facing window and my monstera and Venetian blinds seem to be a good filter so she doesn’t burn. Considering a humidifier soon-ish, but we’ll see.
