I have two very young bellus ficus. One plant site says to mist every other day, while another site says that they like dry environments and misting is not advised. The leaves on my two plants are getting brown and sparse. Thank you in advance.

Ah yes. The conflicting info on the internet. I usually try to find out how reputable the site is before I trust the info… or I’ll find as many sites if I can and see if most of them side one way or the other. Another strategy is to try and find out what the plants look like when too humid or too dry. If there’s anything to distinguish between the two conditions, then I would just keep an eye on your plants and let them tell you what they need! Sorry I don’t have an easy/definitive answer!

Good ideas. Will sample a few more internet site opinions. Thank you much, Holly🙂

I'm for misting. The main thing to keep in mind is the basics... vs someone else care. What your house humidity is vs what the plants wants. I personally unalived a bellus because it was a thirsty ho, and everything said drought tolerant. Home girl was not in fact drought tolerant, and needed way more water then I expected. I will say it came back, but it was a rough go. It also reverted to green afterwards.

Thank you much! I have been misting these but just started to question myself. They look so delicate!
