Has anyone ever experienced a translucent leaf on a Syngonium white butterfly before? So strange

No, that's so strange. It looks like the "melting" leaves i will get off some TC plants. It's due to them not having the waxy coating, and they over guttate

I get this occasionally if I’ve just transferred a syngonium to hydro but they usually die off pretty quick

Could be getting too much water

Think it’s fine. Always check soil is dry before watering. All other leaves seem fine

I have this on a few of my plants atm as well I looked it up and all I could find it’s either a watering issue (which I didn’t have problem with) or temperature shock I think since weather is getting colder it might be why

Ah that could make sense. It’s quite close to my back door where it gets a lot of light but has been super cold lately! Thanks, plant seems fine but I just thought it was interesting

(Super late to this post lmao) but i experienced something similar with my Neanthe Bella palm- traced it back to the pores of the leaves being clogged. If you're using some kind of solution to clean the leaves (i was using too much olive oil), it may be stopping air from entering the stomata (pores)! Just wipe it off with a water + dish soap (1:1/16) solution and ventilate the room better if thats the problem 🤍
