Hello your plants look amazing! Any advice on alocasia’s? I recently got one and checked the roots once I got it home and it didn’t have very many at all and the bulb at the bottom was little mushy. I used a sanitized knife to slice off that part and allowed it to callous over (that’s what many videos and people I know said they would do). I placed back into a well draining pot with chunky soil. It currently only has one left that hasn’t finished unfolding as well. Any advice? I can also add photos if that would help 😢
1 me gusta Hey kieley thank you so much. I personally don’t like alocasia in soil non of mine are growing in it. I grow them in soil ninja fine semi hydro and they absolutely love it . It’s basically 3 different types of of stones which u put in a pot with drainage holes and then u put in a decorative pot or vase no holes and fill up a small reservoir of water and the stones take the water when they need it . If it doesn’t have any roots I personally would have it in water or moss to help encourage roots but u need to change water regularly so it has oxygen in still . Then when it has roots put into semi hydro . There is other brands available I’ve only used soil ninja version though . Oh also if it does lose the last leaf it can still grow again so don’t through it away it will be like growing a corn .
