New what-is-this question…. The tag literally reads “I am a Houseplant.” Planta can’t identify it and neither can Google Lens. The foliage is matte, dark green with purple underneath and the plant has deep burgundy, fuzzy stems.

eatyacarbsi thiiiink it’s a “purple pleasure plant” (mikania) — are the leaves fuzzy too? if it IS this, bottom water only and also know that it sends out little yellow flowers kind of like dandelions and they STINK like feet 😂

wait wait it’s purple passion plant that has the smelly flowers — so cancel that 😂 i had one at my desk a few years ago and it traumatized me lol — i still think you have the ‘purple pleasure’ here ridiculous names 😅

Yes, that’s it!! It was not among the wildly inventive results I saw. And unfortunately I top watered it this morning 🤦🏼♀️ At least I know now - thank you!

it will probably be okay — but usually the fuzzy ones don’t like that, and the stems and/or leaves will rot if you keep doing it
