Suggestions for how to best trim off top of fiddle leaf tree that is otherwise full, but growing too tall?

    I would take a very sharp knife and just saw off the top foot or so. Unrelated, how did you get yours to be so big and healthy? I want to get one, but I’m scared I’m going to kill it and I’d like some advice.

      Thanks. I moved my tree to a south facing window. I’ve been watering and fertilizing it on schedule and ever since I moved it, it’s really been thriving. I also found great youtube videos about cutting these plants down, although I am a bit nervous about doing so.

    Following! I’m wondering the same thing. I just moved mine to an east facing front porch this weekend and I want to cut it down in the hopes it branches out a bit.

    Mine looked exactly the same! I ended up cutting off the top about 4 feet from the bottom. It was scary! But it put out two new branches and looks beautiful now. And I propagated the top and got a new thriving plant from it!
