The leaves started yellowing immediately after a watering so pulled to check for root rot but I don’t know what that looks like exactly

Needs to be repotted! I would try to loosen it up and try to remove a bunch of the soil without harming the roots as safely as you can. I typically do this in water or with a hose. YouTube has great videos on how to do this. Make sure that the pot is no bigger than one inch larger than the root, and that this plant has well draining clean soil.

It’s definitely root bound. Remove all mushy and smelly roots, if any. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria, if needed. 🍀🪴

Like others said it's rootbound but it looks otherwise healthy

If it was root rot, u would definitely smell a foul odor.
