I have three gorgeous spideys , a common, a curly, and a reverse variegated and they have tons of gorgeous babies, when is the best time to prune those off also one long stem has three big babies on it do I keep all three on the one big stem or trim them off individually before putting them in water to root. ?🤔🪴🧡 Pics of my spidey's in comments

Do you have to cut them? I love how it looks with pups

I see people say when they start to get roots, but mine have never done that. I usually clip them when they get about egg/muffin sized. And like with any proping... water the mother plant well the day before you clip them.

I'm extra lazy and just try to position fairy pots under them, so they root prior to clipping too.

The babies are as big as my hand three of them are I feel like the other 17 on the one plant probably will grow bigger once I clip the three big ones there's just so many 🫶🤷‍♀️

Ohh it's the little 2" plastic pots. That's what my local nursery calls them 😆 🤣

IDK if you have to cut them or not part of me thinks leave them on there till they fall off but the other part of me is looking at the other 18 babies on the plant thinking if they have any chance of growing I probably should cut the three or four big ones plus I feel like they are drying out because they hang so low and I have a space heater in there in a fan even though it's not pointed out of them but I don't know

I’ve never had any luck rooting the babies in the past but I think this time I would use a heat mat and dome and either sterile peat or LECA. You have enough of them to experiment with 😊

Well I did just get some grow lights I will definitely have to throw my babies in those or should I throw them in the window I'm thinking should I just sit the spider plant itself directly on top of the little cup of water till it Roots out the bottom or do I stick the stem coming out the bottom of the spider and water? I still feel some type of way about sticking it directly in soil I don't want to experiment with my babies I want them all to live 😭😩🤣🤣🙏🧡
