Hi!! Question. So I am new to the app and to actual plant care for my babies. I haven’t received my misting bottle but I am scheduled for 11 mists today. If I don’t do it today will it negatively affect my babies. I haven’t ever misted before so I was just curious. (I’ve also searched for an extra bottle but don’t have any)
Misting is a controversial topic lol some people swear by it, some say its a waste of time. Personally, I don’t mist because I didn’t notice any difference and I’d rather less tasks to complete. If you DO want to turn the misting reminder off you can do this in your main profile settings and not have to go through every plant individually.

I agree with GreenLeaf’s main reason for why I don’t mist 😂 It also really opens you up to a lot of issues — fungal, bacterial, rot. A humidifier is a better option. I am SO GRATEFUL for this tip to turn off the misting prompt!! It hadn’t occurred to me to try. Hate how those tasks clog up my list!

Agreed that misting is a bit arbitrary for most plants. Personally, I leave the reminder on, though, and use it as a reminder to wipe down and clean my plants’ leaves instead.
3 Mi piace Thank you! This is a great idea. Do you use anything special to clean your leaves I’ve been considering getting a leave oil but wasn’t too sure about that either with how good my plants are doing with me just watering them

I use vinegar diluted in water to remove hard water stains. Regular dirt and dust can be removed with Dawn dishwater and a soft cloth.

I only mist when I wanna clean my plants leaves. Also alocasias tend to get fungus issues with too much misting. Better off having a humidifier to make an actual difference
