I noticed this white hairy mold growing on the tip of a new leaf coming in on my Golden pothos. I’ve busing this fungicide. Spraying the whole plant down once a day. HELP! What else can I do? I’ve isolated the plant from my other plants.

Might not be mold. It’s on new growth so I’m suspecting mealy bugs instead. Can you get a closer picture?

I can try but it’s in a really tough spot. All I have is my phone to get the picture

That’s fine. If you look closely, try to see if it has legs or any kind of buggy features. Mealy bugs create white fluff that looks pretty similar to what I see and also tend to target new growth.

What do you think of the spray?

Don’t use fungicide. Switch to a pest control like neem oil or anything insect pest specific.

Looks like mealy bugs to me too. I had them on my golden pothos a couple years ago and I ended up tossing the plant.

Dip a q tip in Alcohol and dab it. If it’s a Mealy it will come off and turn brown.

Did this and the little bugger did exactly that

I would use alcohol on a wipe and remove it. It could be many things mentioned above. Could be salt crystals leaching. I would not start using a fungicide for one small white bit until I can confirm by seeing it spread.

I have an infestation on a diffenbachia plant...I am trying neem oil. She is currently in the plant hospital away from my other plants.

I just hit every one I could find with alcohol and cut off at the bottom of the stem each leaf they were munching on and that seemed to work for me

I'm going to try that. I tried another pesticide and will check today. If not successful, I will do what you did. I also need to give mine a bath, so I guess I will do all of that this evening.
