I created my first tropical soil mix today for my ‘Freddie’. 😄His leaves are curled up, and it’s too soon to know if repotting helped. Anyone know what this might be a symptom of? I don’t think he was overwatered. I did move him closer to the window. This was a lot of fun, a small project to break up the day.
Looks like some good draining soil! Did you water him right after repotting until it drains out the holes on bottom of the pot? Could just be stress from the repot but with the extra light he should perk up soon
0 likes I didn’t water him after repotting. His roots were still a bit damp after I cleaned them, so I’m wondering if I should water.

I think I’ve become somewhat of a soil snob. Whenever I look at pictures of people’s plants I always find myself zooming in on the soil and making comments in my head! 😩😂 but I must say that your mix look pretty darn good! 🤩 your plant will love it! Especially since calathea are very thirsty

1 like In this app, I tapped the information icon next to the name of my plant, then scrolled down to ‘soil’. The first recommended soil type was tropical and they tell you how to mix your own.
