Repotted my Emerald Gem today - couldnāt wait for the new planter to arrive because she was losing leaves fast. ETA: I had to use some of the old soil because I ran out of the potting mix I was using. Is there any reason not to do this?

Thereās a guy who wrote a whole book about ādonāt repot that plantā, ie its best to not disturb, ok to keep old soil š. My concern in looking at the pics is whether they can drip. Are there holes? Iāve changed to using grow pots in cache pots (outer pretty pots) so they donāt sit in wet soil.
0 gillningarThanks. I was guessing itās ok to keep the old soil, but Iāve been surprised by a lot, being relatively new to all this. I didnāt know what they were called, but I usually use a cache pot after I bring a plant home, until itās time to repot. This planter does have drainage - one (relatively large) hole in the bottom. And to tell the truth, I donāt know why they make pots without drainage holes. š¤·š½āāļø
