Repotted my Emerald Gem today - couldn’t wait for the new planter to arrive because she was losing leaves fast. ETA: I had to use some of the old soil because I ran out of the potting mix I was using. Is there any reason not to do this?

There’s a guy who wrote a whole book about “don’t repot that plant”, ie its best to not disturb, ok to keep old soil 😀. My concern in looking at the pics is whether they can drip. Are there holes? I’ve changed to using grow pots in cache pots (outer pretty pots) so they don’t sit in wet soil.
0 Mi piaceThanks. I was guessing it’s ok to keep the old soil, but I’ve been surprised by a lot, being relatively new to all this. I didn’t know what they were called, but I usually use a cache pot after I bring a plant home, until it’s time to repot. This planter does have drainage - one (relatively large) hole in the bottom. And to tell the truth, I don’t know why they make pots without drainage holes. 🤷🏽♂️
