How much water do you usually keep ? I’m trialing the water ponics and I’m not sure if sometimes I have too much water or not enough for the amount of roots.

I usually keep the water line just below where the stems start. The stems should never be submerged only the roots. 😉

Any advice on how to clean the roots

If you’re taking it directly from soil, make sure you submerge the roots in water to loosen it up. Then just use a kitchen sink sprayer to remove the rest of the soil until the roots are white. Once you get a vase put the plant in spring water.
