Hey fellow plant enthusiasts! 🌿 I need some guidance with my Amazonian elephant ear plant. Recently, I noticed a yellow leaf, and it's starting to concern me. The pot has proper drainage, and I've been diligent with my fertilizing schedule. Could the issue be related to the pot size, or perhaps too much light exposure? If anyone has any insights or experience with this type of plant, I would appreciate your help! Here are some specifics: - Pot size: 7inches - Light exposure: living room window - Watering routine: every 9 days Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Let's keep this green beauty thriving! 🌱

I also just removed one of the three leaves from my Polly due to some kinda issue - I’m too scared from my Rubber Plant doing this and it spreading to the leaves I gave it the chop- following to hear any tips or advice lol I’m clueless.

These little stinkers are prone to fungus infections. That’s what happened to mine and it looks just like yours. Cut the leaf off as close to the soil as possible. I would also double check your roots. Make sure they’re healthy and see if the leaves can be separated. Mine turned out to be 3 plants that could be separated, and are doing well (after I cut off the fungal infected parts) It’s pretty contagious (to plants) Good luck!

I had one that was not doing well, and after checking the roots I found a mesh type thing covering the root ball, so that was the problem there.

Yup me too! The mesh of death on my Poly! Apparently quite common. As well as being prone to root rot. Def keep pot on smaller size. I wouldn’t go over a 6” on this one.

I feel like I spy a new leaf coming which is when a lot of Alocasia yeet old leaves. If it has never had more than three leaves and this leaf is the oldest, then it’s probably normal.
