So, I am worried I messed up when I did a mass repotting this weekend. (I listened to someone that may not have been as knowledgeable as I’d thought) I am mostly looking for opinions, and if I should remix soul and repot again. I mixed my own mix. It consisted of 1 part vermiculite, 1 part Perlite, 1part coco coir & 1-1.5parts black gold potting mix. Is this ok? Or should I restart? Potted is several philodendrons, pothos, & baby Thai constellation

I’m having trouble imagining the consistency. Can you attack a picture of that what it looks like all mixed together? Then I could give my two cents ☺️

I can get a pic when I get home. Best way I can describe it is like an extra fluffy potting soil. Can easily “finger” it to feel moisture.

Fluffy is good, in my opinion. Soil that is too dense, on the other hand, can rot the roots. Philodendrons and monstera will like the air pockets in their soil from the perlite. Pothos will grow in practically anything, so you’re good there. Your mix might stay moist longer than average, so I’d just make sure it’s appropriately dry before watering

this actually sounds fine, that’s just a lot of drainage so you may have to water more frequently. sounds like it will prevent root rot and fungus gnats though!
