Iām not sure of the plant type. It looks like a peony. Root rot could be the cause of the issue. I see a watering ball in the first picture. Those are notorious for keeping roots wet on plants that canāt take constantly wet feet. Dump out the soil to check the roots. Root rot is dark/black, mushy, stinky or all of the above. There is a slim chance of saving the plant if any healthy white roots remain. Wash away all the soil. Cut off the rot. Wash roots with hydrogen peroxide. Replant in fresh well draining soil mix. Check steps online if it is root rot.
2 likesOk Iāll do that. I thought it could be a peony but when I researched on this app the peonies leaves look different like more slim and pointy. Maybe is a different kind. Iāll check for root rot and update the post āŗļøš«¶š½
2 likesMy guess was peony as well when I saw the picture. Itās a perennial so should bounce back next spring.
