My spider plant has gotten quite large and in charge, but now it sort of tips to the side. Is that normal? It seems healthy otherwise just a bit top heavy.

    You should rotate your plants. Most plants reach towards the direction of the sun.

      I do rotate it, it’s more like it’s too heavy and falling over.

      Yeah I’m having the same issue with mine. I staked it but it’s still heavy. I think I’m gonna repot it once it’s babies are good to go.

    i’ve been caring for a 30+ year old spider plant for over a decade and whenever it leans like this, i prune the lower leaves and sometimes it’ll lift itself back up. if not, i know it’s time for a repot

      don’t be afraid to refresh the soil around the roots, spider plants are very hardy and if it’s been in that pot for a while it will probably benefit from shaking off most of the old soil and repotting in a mixture with extra drainage (i add orchid bark and coarse perlite)
