Any tips on not overwatering plants? I water the plants in the pot because the sink isn’t good for watering, and now the leaves on my small Alocasia bambino are turning yellow ;-;

if it doesn’t have drainage then check the roots. get a wooden stick and check how wet the soil is, only water it when needed (i’m not experienced with alocasia, so idk how often to water.)

It has drainage, it’s in a nursery pot with a cover pot over top of it. It’s only a 4” pot so I still water very little but apparently it’s still too much for the little guy

how many drainage holes are there? sometimes only one isn’t enough

Drainage holes should help, if you don’t have those

Are you pouring out excess water? If not, sitting in water can cause overwatering.

I think this is where my issue is. I’m not pouring out extra water.

I would take it out of the nursery pot and water it in any sink or even outside. I use a water can and hold it with my other hand and just let all the water flow out. You can set it down while it drains, check it in 10 min. I like to rotate the pot a little because sometimes excess water gets in a pocket. If it’s done draining, you can put it back in it’s fancy pot. If you’re anxious, you can always check the pot again after an hour and dump out any excess water. I use a timer on my phone bc I forget a lot.
