My new Chicago apartment has a south facing sunroom so it gets drenched in bright direct light. Can anyone recommend foliage plants that actually thrive in this environment? Iâm new to plants and every foliage plant only likes indirect bright light. I donât want more than a couple succulents out there. Right now I have a string of pearls, English ivy, and a nasturtium. I donât think I can leave the nasturtium out there - I thought it might cope if I heavily monitored the soil dampness but the leaves arenât looking thrilled with the situation. I was also hoping to have a few variegated-leaf plants but it seems colorful leaves arenât big fans of direct light either. I know a pothos will probably have the determination to live in the light but Iâd love more suggestions. I really want to fill this room with thriving plants!
