I’m having a lot of trouble finding the right soils (I’m pretty new at this). About to repot my peace Lily, and plant a Wandering Jew that has been propagating a couple weeks. Can anyone give some general recommendations for how to mix a few efficiently? These soils get so full and dense with water. Just trying to be a better plant mom lol. 🥺

Ahhhhhh!!! That’s such a pretty lily!! Trads are very easy to repot and are tolerant of most soils but lilies are a lot harder. I’ve killed 3 now and every single time, I went way too ham removing soil from the roots so I definitely would recommend NOT doing that 😅 may just want to just gently shake off what you can and then pot it up in something well draining.

Wheeeeewwww if I had a nickel for every time I did that same move 😅. Really though, it’s the fault of the one that lived that one time… it set an unrealistic precedent lol. What soil did you end up using for the peace Lily?

Also, believe it or not, I got that Lily for 12 bucks! It wasn’t even that bad off!

Ah! That sounds like a straight forward mix. What ratio? Is a course mix the common orchid bark? I had to emergency repot my orchid just now after finding a horror story underneath the moss. I’ve never seen anything like it. I swear, these companies (costa, heavenly) ultimately must have some bet going with one another for who can suffocate the plant fastest starting when it gets to its new home
