This is my precious philodendron fuzzy petiole. I potted her up a while back and then staked her up cuz her new leaves were unfurling and only half the leaf was greening. She gets between 50-60% humidity. I still have to “help” the new leaves and mist almost daily. I recently realized they like to crawl. Any tips?

The fuzzy petiole is a fuzzy plant 😅 But they grow quite fast! The problems with unfurling their leaves are very common among philodendrons and it could be due to low humidity, lack of light or imbalanced watering. Lack of micronutrients can sometimes cause it too. However, this often happens to my Philos during the winter or when I haven’t watered it properly. If all of that’s already in order you just want to try to mist/shower the leaves to help them unfold easier. I use soaked paper towel too and, very gently, wrap the new leaf that’s about to unfurl to help it out ☺️ I would also recommend that you give your Philo some plant support in form of a moss stock or wooden board that it can climb onto.

I keep her humidity between 50 & 60%. Would you say it needs to be higher?
