Hey! New owner of FLF, three days ago when I brought it home it was beautiful and shiny. I have it in full sun, it was watered the day I took it home and haven’t watered since. Bottom of pot still has moist soil. Top layer dry. What is going on here? Too much sun? Temperature? Humidity? I know these guys are fickle, I didn’t think it would be unhappy THIS fast.

    Was it exposed to any weather under 45°? It’s only supposed to be in part sun, not full sun

      Well it’s winter where I am. So -25C to -30C when I walked to the vehicle from the store..?

      It definitely could have caused it. Brown leaves are typically cold shock. See if it changes anymore over the next few days and let us know how it goes.

      I’ll Move it to a part sun area. I was also told to bring plants like these into the bathroom when showering for humidity… is that counterintuitive?

    Moving it around can cause stress to a sensitive plant, which this is. It does require high humidity so you might want to set a humidifier next to it. Find a good, warm, partial sun spot and leave it there. ❤️

    I would give it several weeks to adjust to its new home before treating any possible issues. It’ll take a while to settle in.. then you can better assess what was moving trauma and what’s an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed. 👍🏼🌿 (also, in my experience with FLF’s, your bright sun is the best option for these buddies)

    I have mine about 2 feet away from a south facing window. The best advice I ever got about FLF is find a spot and leave it alone. They don’t like to be moved around a lot.
